Dyson has launched the HushJet Mini Cool, a compact handheld bladeless fan priced at $100. The new device miniaturises the Air Multiplier technology that the company first introduced in its larger bladeless fans almost 17 years ago.

Dyson HushJet Mini Cool airflow and performance

The fan uses a brushless DC motor spinning at 65,000 rpm, delivering airflow speeds of up to 25 m/s. It offers several speed settings and features a 38 mm HushJet directed-airflow system.

Adjustable airflow and noise levels

A swivelling air outlet lets users alter the direction of the airflow. Noise levels are around 52 decibels at the lowest speed and 72.5 decibels at maximum power.

Size, weight and charging

The device stands 20 cm tall and weighs under 200 g. The HushJet Mini Cool is powered by a rechargeable 5,000 mAh battery, which takes three hours to charge fully via USB-C.
